Why get a safety inspection?
Periodic Inspection and Testing, often referred to as Fixed Wire testing, is now a mandatory requirement. It is a prerequisite under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, the Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations 1999, the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 and the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 that electrical installations are inspected and tested.
Many other companies may also require that an Inspection & Test programmed is implemented including; Insurance Companies, Mortgage Lenders, Licensing Authorities, Public Bodies and Landlords. If this is not undertaken it may void a Company’s insurance policies.
