Bad Installation Version 1.

Dan and Patty are the kind of folks who always try to do the right thing. They maintain their
home and cars on a regular basis. They even bought a back-up generator a few months back
in preparation for seasonal storms and power outages. Today, they found out their good efforts
have put them in a bad situation. You see, Dan and Patty’s contractor was one of those guys
who seemed to have a good answer for everything. He assured them the installation was on-par
with previous propane generator installations. So, Dan and Patty put their fears to rest. That
is, until they called to get a maintenance agreement for their generator. It turns out Dan and
Patty’s contractor wasn’t familiar with the manufacturer’s specifications. So, even though the job
was permitted and inspected, the emergency generator didn’t have enough fuel pressure to run
long term. What’s more, the wiring was done incorrectly. This meant Dan and Patty’s home and
safety were at risk. To make matters worse, it had voided the warranty on their back-up power
generator. Dan and Patty would now have to pay more to have it repaired and maintained.
